Hey, boys and girls! Sorry for the radio silence; my family and I are just bouncing back from several weeks of illness. No fun.
What was even LESS FUN was that after 3 weeks of not doing any personal drawing, I had found myself in the most terrible CREATIVE SLUMP. It was hard for me to get motivated, and the longer I stayed not drawing the harder it was becoming to sit down and make some pictures.
I’m sure this has never happened to any of you though.
A couple of nights ago, I decided it was time to break the streak, so I sat down to power through my slump. It was really uncomfortable, but I was pretty sure that squaring my shoulders and just making some drawings was the only way I was going to break free of the mire I was in. “MAKE SOME DRAWINGS,” seemed like the sort of advice I would give to someone else in this situation, so I decided to take some of my own medicine.
These 10 or so pages are the drawings that I made in a couple of hours two nights ago. This is a pretty naked look at my sketchbook. Frankly, I’m not in love with most of what came out on the page, but I thought I’d share all of it here with y’all. I hope anyone else who’s stuck will sit down and crank something out. It doesn’t have to be amazing, sometimes you just gotta get your engine running again.
Hope to be back on the road soon. See you dudes and dudettes out there!
